NSW public schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics, delivered by approved providers wherever available.

Special Religious Education at Armidale Secondary College
Christian SRE is offered at Armidale Secondary College in fortnightly timetabled classes for students in Years 7-10, and quarterly seminars for senior students. Armidale Youth Futures facilitate a combined arrangement of approved SRE providers. This includes:
- Australian Christian Churches
- Anglican Diocese of Armidale
- Baptist Union of NSW
- Churches of Christ in NSW (Fresh Hope)
- Presbyterian Church of Australia (NSW)
- The Salvation Army
- Seventh-Day Adventist Church
- Uniting Church in Australia (NSW Synod)

Parents and carers have the choice of enrolling their children in SRE. If your preferred SRE option is not available, please contact the relevant approved provider for NSW public schools.
Students not attending SRE are given supervised alternative meaningful activities such as reading, revision or completing homework.
Parents and carers are required to nominate their SRE preference at the time of student enrolment, either by online enrolment or the SRE Participation Letter. Parents and carers may notify the school in writing at any time if they wish to change their decision. Students will continue the same arrangement as the previous year, unless a parent or carer has requested a change in writing.
